Showing the From field in Outlook

How to turn on the From field in new Outlook, classic Outlook, and Outlook on the web so you can send from a shared mailbox or another address.

· NDLS Team

If you need to send from a shared mailbox or another address, Outlook has to show the From field on your message. If you don’t see it, turn it on from the message options.

Choose the version of Outlook you’re using.

Show From in new Outlook

  1. Select New mail.
  2. In the message window, open Options.
  3. Select Show From.
  4. Select From and choose the address you want to send from.

If the shared mailbox address is not listed, choose another email address and type the shared mailbox address.

Once the From field is visible, Outlook should keep it available when you compose future messages. Before sending, always check that the correct address is selected.

Shared mailboxes, send-as permissions, and settings like this are all part of NDLS Microsoft 365 management, handled for you, so your team can just send email.
